Back from Belgium and in San Diego, ready to start my last quarter of college. Pictures online soon.
March 2003
War is immenent and I’m disgusted to be an American right now. I feel like I belong to a country run by monkeys and idiots. The worst part is that 65% of America backs this. Poor uneducated fools. Where have we gone wrong.

Over the last two years or so, my main interest in software has been at the system level, and things like kernels and runtimes got me excited. Well, they still do. But I was talking with a guy who was doing research in Cognitive Science and he was waxing poetically about how software would be very cool once it’s evolving and self-sustaining, among other things. He was talking about some very cool things such as digital pheromones. I want to do some cool stuff like that. Hum… For fun, here’s a great Jerkey Boys clip.
It’s March. Two weeks and then finals until the end of Winter quarter. That leaves 3 weeks until I go to Belgium, and 15 weeks until I graduate!
