In December of 2001, I wrote a program in C# called SystemStatus to
monitor various servers and services that I’m responsible for and for
my friends. It’s been running on my server since December 20th and been
doing fairly well. It sweeps every 25 minutes on HTTP, ICMP, PPTP and
SMTP. I wrote a web
page today that displays a grid of the up and down machines, along
with their uptime percentages for the last week. You can view it here.
And for our picture today, is our lovely Veep, looking like a space
